We’re a small space with a big love for wine and food. While the bar may feel cozy at first glance, our expansive patio keeps things lively year-round. It’s designed to feel more like stepping into a friend’s home than a traditional bar—and that’s exactly how we like it. Just popping in for a bottle? Hannah Doughty
Owner and Wine
Hannah Doughty has spent over a decade caring for her community as nurse. Though Portland born and raised, nursing school brought her to a small town with a growing wine reputation. Wine tastings became the regular event and inspired a passion. Now, many years later, that passion gets to be shared with the community as No Doubts Wine Bar.
This space was inspired by the desire to enjoy great wine without the pretense. An avid world traveler, Hannah found over and over that her favorite places were the teensy neighborhood “hole in the walls”, with warm staff and simple dishes. With a nod to her last name (“never doubt a Doughty”), Hannah created a place where people can unwind, connect, and enjoy high-quality wine and food in a low key, affordable setting- just like the spaces she loves to stumble upon herself.
Today, she continues her work as a nurse part-time while navigating the ropes of business ownership- sharing her love of wine and hospitality with the Portland community.
Jesse Martinez
Owner and Food
Jesse Martinez is a standout presence in Portland’s culinary scene, known for his creative Italian-inspired cooking. After years working in restaurant kitchens, he struck out on his own creating Gumba, a food truck that quickly built a devoted following.
With the freedom to cook intuitively and follow his creative instincts, Jesse developed a style a that is both refined and personal. In 2020, he brought that vision into a brick-and-mortar space, where Gumba has continued to thrive as a beloved Portland restaurant.
At No Doubts Wine Bar, Jesse brings that same creativity, expertise, and commitment to the menu—offering elevated comfort food looks familiar but will surprise you with each bite!
